Serves to lead the continual development and improvement of a robust safety culture within the College of Engineering.
Assists faculty, staff and students with safety related information, templates, seminars, and provides solutions to safety related concerns in order to support research and scholarly activities while maintaining compliance with regulations and policies.
Reviews and provides feedback on safety related concerns to all College of Engineering Labs annually to improve the safety and well being of faculty, staff and students.
Leads the College’s emergency management preparation and oversees the collection and analysis of data necessary to identify institutional needs, evaluate and direct programs and priorities accordingly.
Establishes criteria for measuring the effectiveness of safety programs, analyzes mechanisms for periodic self-assessment of safety programs and provides oversight for comprehensive risk assessments and institution wide programmatic reviews.
